Vietnamese Inspired Chicken & Cabbage Salad (Paleo)

Once upon a time...long long ago, a little American girl packed up with her family and moved to Southeast Asia. As you might imagine this was quite an adventure! It was filled with new smells, tastes, sounds, colors and many more things the girl had never experienced before.

The open markets in Asia remind me of the farmers markets here, only on steroids. They're

Snickerdoodle Cookies (Egg/Grain/Gluten/Dairy Free)

There are two kinds of SNICKERDOODLES.....there's the big puffy, "cakey" ones and then there's the RIGHT ones! Sweet, thin, crackled and chewy; these are the only kind of Snickerdoodles that you'll find here at The Urban Poser. So if you are looking for the former then...."These are not the cookies you are looking for....move along." (THANK YOU Obi-Wan and my two very obsessed Starwars

The Best Almond Flour Cinnamon Roll Biscuits

I can't think of a more perfect EASTER morning breakfast than...The Cinnamon Roll! Soft, warm, and inviting as you tear them apart, steam wafting out. There may not be another food that can conjure quite as much nostalgia for me as cinnamon rolls. My mother used to make the most brilliant cinnamon rolls from scratch and I can still still remember the smell of the dough rising and the taste of

Continuing with our wonderful foray into Raw foods this month, I present to you the most natural of all RAW foods...The SALAD! I have to admit, I never really did like salad much in my younger years. Perhaps I was just never offered a salad worthy of my love, or maybe I just had yet to develop the 'taste' for it.

Present day though, I LOVE salad. I'll eat it just about

RAW Carrot Cake Balls (Vegan, RAW, Paleo, GAPS)

So I'm not really going to write much here since I know you're all going to "skip to the end' anyway so you can get to the chocolaty CAKE BALL goodness as quickly as possible...and I don't blame you!

I think that this might be the very first dessert that I made back when I first went gluten and grain free a little over a year ago. It was also the first sweet thing that I'd had in over 4

RAW Noodles & Veggies W/RAW Asian Pesto Sauce (Paleo, RAW, Vegan, GAPS)

So here we are...FINALLY; my very own "EAT MORE VEGGIES" month. (Thanks to all for your patience as I recovered from the flu). This month is my own personal quest to re-imagine that shared experience of every child's least favorite phrase. We've all heard it: You can probably even hear your mother's voice right now echoing it; "You need to eat your veggies". But seriously, every one of

{Chapter II}

I wanna fit in to the perfect space,
feel natural and safe in a volatile place.
And I wanna grow old without the pain,
give my body back to the earth and not complain.

~The Avett Brothers

I still have nightmares; It's amazing how pain has a way of haunting you, even after it's gone. Its imprint lingers like the scent of a strong perfume, clinging to every

Take a little cocoa, some coriander powder (for depth), some cinnamon and a pinch of ancho chile powder (for a little extra kick)....and what do you

If you happen to be one of those people who automatically turns your nose up at the mere mention of Brussels sprouts...prepare to be charmed! These are not the bitter, soggy, overcooked Brussels sprouts that your grandma used to make (no offense to grandma intended...I mean, I like them so mine must have done something right).

Here again, you may notice the continued obsession

They do however, pack a bit of punch with just enough curry powder to leave a little tingle on your tongue. The truth is, your kids just might love these too.
